Clinical Lecturers


As part of the UKCRC/MMC Integrated Academic Pathway, the Department of Health is part-funding the creation of 100 Clinical Lectureships a year over five years, starting in 2006. These new lectureships are hosted by collaborations between universities, NHS Trusts or Primary CareTrusts and Postgraduate Deaneries, which receive allocations of awards and decide locally on individual recipients.


These Clinical Lectureships are for those who have completed a higher degree and have documented satisfactory progress in specialist clinical training. They will support a period of postdoctoral research during Specialist Training but will end when you complete clinical training and obtain your Certificate of Completion of Training.
